Tropical Storm Approaches Central Florida & Walt Disney World | June 4, 2022 — 2 Foolish Mortals
The weekend has arrived and that means so too has the effects of Potential Tropical Cyclone One. We have some updates regarding this storm to share with you, but you can also find the most up to date information regarding this storm and future storms HERE.
As of June 4th, 2022 at 5:00AM, there continues to be a Tropical Storm Warning in effect for Eastern Central Florida including Kissimmee, Yeehaw Junction and Harmony. What this “Tropical Storm Warning” means is that we can expect to see the effects of this tropical storm in the next 36 hours. That said, current information regarding this storm is showing that we can expect to feel the effects of this storm between 8AM and 8PM today, Saturday June 4th.
In terms of what we can expect to see throughout the day, we’re looking at wind and rain. Currently, the forecast is calling for wind to peak somewhere between 10-20 mph with gusts up to 34mph, which is a bit less gusty than was originally forecast. The forecast is also calling for around 1 inch of rain, with the chance of higher amounts in some areas. This amount of rain is also less than we had originally expected. The “potential for a few tornadoes” has also been included in this Tropical Storm Warning, with a notation that the tornado threat has increased from the previous assessment.
