Is This The Sweet Spot? | Plan A Trip To Disney With Me — 2 Foolish Mortals
Like I said just a second ago, figuring out when you’re going to visit Walt Disney World [or at least when you’re thinking about visiting] is one of the first things you should be doing, at least in my opinion. There are a lot of reasons that this is the case, but the important thing to keep in mind is that the timing of your visit will lay a foundation for how your trip is going to go. Traveling during peak times means peak crowds and peak pricing. Traveling during the “off-season” means you might avoid some crowds and get your hands on some discounts. All of these things are determined by the “when” of your trip, which is why I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to consider that detail carefully if you can.
Now, for this trip that I’m planning to take here in the near future, I find myself in a bit of a pickle. While I’m fortunate enough to not have any limitations on my own schedule, we are leading into the 2021 holiday season. Which means that we’re entering “peak season” with its peak pricing and crowds. Being someone who prefers avoiding both of these things, this narrows down some of my options a bit. However, there’s a stretch of about 6 days that I think sits right in a sweet spot between 2 holidays. . . . .
The week in question sits between 2 holidays; Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving. While they are both fairly popular holidays for weekend getaways, the placement and stretch between the 2 has me thinking I might have found a sweet spot. Of course, the past couple years have been all over the place and somewhat hard to predict, but we can always give it a shot and see what happens! In particular, I think that I’m leaning towards a Sunday through Friday trip, which will not only have me avoiding holidays, but also the weekend crowds also.
