Tizen is a next-generation open OS for mobiles, wearables, smart TVs and drive-ables (or cars!). The Tizen steering group needed an agency to get the most out of the OS from a usability point of view, with a focus on homepage design and utility.

Solution

We leveraged our deep understanding of mobile and what users want in-order to redesign the homepage of the future with innovative yet beautifully intuitive gestures and interactions. We managed the tension of introducing new thinking with the target audience’s need for simplicity, given the likelihood a Tizen device could be their first.

Impact

The results were presented as an industry ‘white paper’ on mobile usability as well as at the launch of a redesigned Tizen – a new breed of mobile operating system that will impact the mobile market in ways not seen since the launch of iOS or Android.
