NASDAQ-announced enterprise-level global product innovations for wealth management customers

Challenge

Help transform a billion dollar business into a mobile product company by visualising data systems in a mobile world. In doing so we were tasked with updating legacy systems, workflows and data visualisations and bring them into the new world. This meant redesigning products that were designed and built for a desktop age.

Solution

Our approach was to start afresh, stripping down complex data and graph products to create creative mobile-first usability concepts. We then prototyped solutions as mobile products in HTML5 that integrated with internal core systems such as legal, compliance and finance.

Impact

Within two months, our visualisation of the business through highly engaging HTML5 prototypes convinced Thomson Reuters that a mobile change program was absolutely essential. They subsequently commissioned Nimbletank to productise additional parts of the business as mobile first.

Nimbletank quickly understood the brief and worked collaboratively with us in a number of workshops, to produce a mobile first HTML5 prototype for Mobile Matters, with slick UX and design making data more visual and easy to use. This work is helping transform Thomson Reuters into a company that takes mobile seriously and has changed perceptions that our products weren’t suitable for the mobile environment.
