In early 2014 minicabit were the first-ever mobile app to succeed on Dragon’s Den. However the price comparison minicab app desperately needed a UX and design overhaul to bring it in line with a number of competitors in the marketplace.

We analysed all the different customer journeys and then streamlined the booking process to allow a customer to get a quote almost instantly. In addition we completely overhauled the iOS and Android design and look and feel, giving a much more modern, clean interface to the app and adding playful animations in line with minicabit’s brand values.


Android launched to a 4.5 star average rating in December, and the new iOS App was highlighted by Apple in the App Store in January 2015. Product and service redesign has improved conversion by a massive 40%. Company valuation has also significantly boosted. Leading to significant investment. The App was awarded Bronze at the 2015 MMA Smarties Awards, UK.
