The iOS app allows music creators and publishing clients to view their income in real time, broken down by individual works, type or rights or country. This is a game changer in terms of the relationships between music publisher and creator, and a highly sophisticated product that all involved are proud of.

The app enables Kobalt’s clients to compare real time on demand financial data across previous quarters, and find out when their statements are due. The sync element allows users to track opportunities ‘from pitch to payment’ – favouriting the opportunities they want to follow closely, or discover more details. Daily updates give clients the latest income and activity data from all revenue sources, including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Pandora, and more.

This connection between a creator’s works and their income is the first of its kind, and is a fundamental shift in the relationship between rights owners and their data. Our belief is that this will influence creator’s decisions, shape their perspectives on the industry and streaming, by empowering them with the facts. This is a global first that no-one has ever seen before. It is the only app that delivers true transparency and is building a better future for creators. The future of music is really this simple.

Following a highly successful customer BETA programme, the iOS app launched in Q2, 2016 to industry acclaim. Engagement metrics have been off the charts and coupled with gushing customer advocacy the signs are very strong the app will have a glorious future. Furthermore, the Android app launched to 5-star reviews in November 2016.
