Creating a cutting-edge touch first video editing product

Challenge

Forscene is the world’s leading cloud-based post-production platform, employing cutting-edge technology and with an enviable client list. To maintain its position as the market leader we needed to create slick UI for the new Media Manager and Ingest Server services that pushed the brand creatively and complemented the redesign of the editing platform.

Solution

We reviewed a number of user interfaces across a broad range of services and industries, learning from them in order to create a best-in-breed end-to-end media management interface, allowing site managers and account managers to easily manage, search and view media. As the hardest challenge was a touch interface on tablets we cracked that first, before moving onto desktop. We also proposed a new, modern design look and feel that Forscene are proposing to roll out across other areas of the product.

Impact

The new Media Manager service was initially showcased at the IBC Conference. The product was fully premiered at BVE to critical acclaim. The results far exceeded expectations and targets. The project has since gone on to win Best B2B Campaign & Best B2B App at the MOMAs 2016, The Drum's Mobile Marketing Awards.
